Cellulosic Additives

MC Química has a partnership with producers that provide advanced production engineering and high quality raw material for the production of HPMC-hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, HEMC- hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose, HEC- hydroxyethyl cellulose and CMC- carboxymethyl cellulose sodium with multiple viscosity ranges, high degree of substitution, high purity and excellent stability.

CELLULOSICS are essential for the manufacture of various products in civil construction. Used practically throughout the construction chain, from foundations to the final finishing step. HPMC promotes adequate water retention for more efficient hydration of different types of binders; help with the workability and applicability of the material; promotes open time adhesiveness and low slip in cementitious products.

VAE-Based Polymers

MC Química has a line of DISPERSIBLE Polymers in powder and emulsions (with at least 50% solids) based on VAE-vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymers- used in the production of mortars with highly superior characteristics and properties.

MC Química’s polymers provide greater adherence to cementitious mortars on different types of surfaces. They improve mechanical properties, increasing flexibility, deformability and abrasion resistance. Product classes have specific properties such as fluidity and hydrophobicity, allowing greater freedom in the development of formulations.

VAE-based polymers in the form of DISPERSIBLE POWDER or in the form of EMULSION were developed to meet the most varied applications:

Water Reducers

MC Química’s line of water reducers is made up of PLASTIFICANTS or sodium Lignosulfonate and SUPERPLASTIFICANTS with a chemical base of Sodium Polycarboxylate.

Depending on the dosage of these additives, it is possible to improve the workability of mortar and concrete without changing the water:cement ratio, or for the same consistency, allow the reduction of the amount of added water, promoting an increase in strength, or even the preparation of a fluid mortar.

They are compatible with different types of mineral fillers and binders. Indicated for products that need fluidity and controlled rheology such as:

AIR INCORPORATION

MC Química’s air-incorporating additive is an LSS -Sodium Lauryl Sulphate- which allows the intentional formation of air microbubbles with uniform distribution in the mass, improving the properties in the fresh and hardened state of mortars and concretes.

HANDLE MODIFIERS

Set modifying additives are used to modify, speeding up or slowing down the kinetics of the cement hydration process.

Accelerators: They are used in formulations used in works that require quick release or that need products with superior performance. MC Química’s accelerators have the following chemical bases: calcium sulfoaluminate, calcium aluminate and calcium formate.

Retarders: provide an increase in the workability and finishing time of the mixture. Additive widely used in self-levelling mortars in conjunction with accelerators.

RETRACTION REDUCER OR COMPENSATOR

MC Química supplies the indicated additive for the civil construction sector to reduce or compensate the retraction of cementitious products. Its use provides a reduction in the formation of cracks caused by shrinkage, as a consequence, the durability of concrete and mortar is improved due to the decrease in permeability.

WHITE PIGMENT

The white pigment distributed by MC Química is a titanium dioxide TiO2 in the Anatase phase used in various applications. In the production of paints, it contributes to better coverage and whiteness, weather resistance and shine.
